und ich bleibe lesetechnisch ebenfalls in Wien. Mein neues Buch ist der zweite Teil der Trilogie von Magnus Flyte, und ich bin schon gespannt, wann der dritte Teil erscheinen wird.

Donaureise

Nachdem für meine Eltern ja die Donau-Saison wieder begonnen hat und unsere nächste Fahrt mit der MS Kaiserin Elisabeth II auch wieder bevorsteht, habe ich mich heute für eine weitere Donaureise entschlossen. Dieses Mal reist der britische Journalist Nick Thorpe vom Delta zum Ursprung der Donau. Ich habe erst ein paar Seiten begonnen, bin aber schon begeistert.

Der einzige Wermutstropfen bisher ist, das er in den Danksagungen zwar über Patrick Leigh Fermor geschrieben hat, aber Andres Eames's Buch "Blue River, Black Sea" nicht erwähnt hat. Und das war genial gut.

Eine Liebesgeschichte

Nach dem etwas langweiligen Buch über Bücher und dem traurigen Buch über China habe ich mich Heute für einen witzigen Liebesroman entschieden. Ich brauche im Moment einfach etwas mit Humor und Romantik und einem Happy-End.

Asienprojekt im April: China

Nach dem Bibliotheksbuch habe ich heute mit einem weiteren Buch meines Asienprojektes begonnen. Das Buch über die 44 Bücher, die man lesen muß, war mir persönlich zu klassisch-deutsch-philosophisch. Zwar sollte man nach diesem Kanon auch Bücher wie das "Bildnis des Dorian Gray", "Dr. Jeykill and Mr. Hyde", "Alice in Wonderland" und "Lolita" lesen, aber der Großteil der vorgeschlagenen Bücher war nichts für mich.

 

Heute Abend habe ich dann noch über 100 Seiten von Xinran gelesen und ich bin jetzt schon begeistert. Xinran interviewt ältere Menschen in China, die durch die Kulturrevolution hart mit ihrem Leben zu kämpfen hatten - aber immer weitergemacht haben. Bisher total interessant und spannend.

Letzte Woche wollte mein Vater, das ich ihm von Amazon, bzw. einer Sub-Firma einen Akku für seinen Laptop bestelle. Natürlich geht das aber nicht, ohne auch für mich das eine oder andere Buch zu bestellen.

Sub-Abbau im April

Nach den Urlaubsbüchern werde ich heute mit einem Buch zu meinem Sub-Abbau-Projekt beginnen, das ich immerhin schon am 13.10.2010 gekauft habe. Schon damals haben Bücher über Bücher und welche man Lesen sollte, mich sehr interessiert. Deshalb gibt es im April jetzt was Passendes:

Lesestoff in Thailand

In den Urlaub habe ich mir zwei meiner neueren Bücher mitgenommen, ausgelesen habe ich das zweite aber dann erst wieder zuhause in Wien. Irgendwie bin ich in diesem Urlaub nicht richtig zum Lesen gekommen - vielleicht auch, weil mich das erste Buch nicht wirklich gepackt hat und mir egal war, was mit dem Protagonisten weiter passiert. Das zweite Buch hat mir wesentlich besser gefallen, da freue ich mich schon auf das Lesen des zweiten Bandes und die Erscheinung des dritten.
