Erotisches zum verregneten Wochenende

Schon am Donnerstag Abend habe ich die Biographie über Charles Addams ausgelesen und sie hat mir sehr gefallen. Addams hatte einen schrägen Humor, war aber auch ein sehr interessanter Mann, charmant und seiner zweiten Frau gegenüber zu gutmütig. Treue hat wohl auch nicht zu seinen Stärken gehört, er hat einfach das Leben genossen. Toller Mann und ich kaufe mir sicher noch ein paar seiner Bücher. Robert hatte vor Jahren aus der Bücherei sein Gesamtwerk - das wär's!

 

Gestern Abend habe ich dann mit einem erotischen Roman begonnen und auch schon über 100 Seiten gelesen. Ganz nett - aber irgendwie die übliche Geschichte. Attraktiver und reicher Industrieller führt junge und unbedarfte Frau ins wilde Sex-Leben ein. Gut, die Protagonistin ist zumindest keine Jungfrau mehr. Aber sie lässt sich überreden, ihren Liebhaber in den "Dining Club" zu begleiten und er sagt ihr auch gleich klipp und klar, wenn er ihr nicht gefällt, wird aus der Liebesbeziehung nichts...

 

Das Buch ist nicht so schlecht, das ich es abbrechen werde, aber Topbewertung wird es auch keine bekommen. Liebesroman mit Swinger-Sex halt. Das dieses Buch - wie beworben - die Dinge im Winter "aufheizt" wage ich allerdings zu bezweifeln.

Gestern hat mir Robert wieder liebenswerterweise ein Päckchen von der Post geholt - er hat mit unserem Postamt einfach mehr Glück.

 

Wie von Amazon nicht anders erwartet, kommt die Bestellung wieder auf mehrere Raten - aber das ist schon okay.

 

Meine Neuerwerbungen sind die neue Tatort-Anthologie von Edith Kneifl (ich habe bisher alle Bände) und ein bisserl was für meine Jazz-Bildung. CD's waren auch wieder dabei.

Die Addams Family

Heute Nachmittag habe ich die letzten Seiten meines neuen Kadare-Romans ausgelesen. Wie immer hat mir sein Stil gefallen, und seine Bücher sind ja nie sehr dick. Vom angesprochenen Hauptthema des Buchs - Boris Pasternak, der Literatur-Nobelpreis und das Rußland der damaligen Zeit - habe ich nicht wirklich viel gemerkt, das wurde auf ein paar Seiten abgehandelt. Trotzdem hat es mir gefallen.

 

Mein neues Buch ist wieder eine Biographie und ich freue mich schon sehr drauf. Die Addams Family hat mir einfach immer schon gefallen, vor allem die alte Fernsehserie.

Moderne Literatur

Nachdem ich das Buch über das kreative Schreiben ausgelesen habe, habe ich bereits gestern Morgen mich in einer Blitzaktion für moderne Literatur entschieden. Dieses Mal geht es nicht direkt um Albanien, sondern um Literatur und Russland.

Kreatives Schreiben

An diesem verregnetem Urlaubstag habe ich heute das Buch über die thailändische Geschichte ausgelesen. Es war ein guter Überblick, aber es hat mich nicht in seinen Bann gezogen. Da gibt es sicher ein interessanteres und spannenderes Buch.

 

Mein nächstes Buch handelt vom Schreiben, und wie man ein guter Autor wird. Heute Abend habe ich über 40 Seiten gelesen, und irgendwann möchte ich wirklich ernsthaft und intensiv zu schreiben beginnen. Einige Ideen für die in dem Buch beschriebenen Übungen hätte ich auch schon. Mal sehen, ob ich am Wochenende dazu komme, diese Übungen auszuführen.

Asien-Projekt im August

Von Kenia und der mobilen Kamel-Bibliothek geht's ab nach Thailand, für mein Asienprojekt. Masha Hamilton's Buch hat mir sehr gut gefallen, die Liebe zu Büchern wurde begeistert beschrieben, aber ebenso wie schwierig es ist, kleine Dörfer inmitten von Afrika, für neue Dinge zu begeistern. Überlieferte Tradition und Aberglaube haben in diesem ein ganzes Dorf umziehen lassen, um unter sich zu bleiben, frei von Einflüssen von Außen, bzw. der Großstadt. Trotzdem ein ganz zauberhaftes Buch.

 

Und eigentlich wollte ich ihm Rahmen meines Asien-Projektes in diesem Monat nach Taiwan reisen - habe das Buch aber gleich nach 4 oder 5 Seiten abgebrochen. Das war zu dem jetzigen Zeitpunkt absolut nicht mein Stil. Daher habe ich mich wieder Thailand entschieden. Bisher habe ich etwas über 60 Seiten gelesen, es liest sich flüssig, aber bei nur knapp 315 Seiten ist es nur ein Überblick über die lange Geschichte dieses wunderschönen Landes.

Die Neuerwerbungen der Woche

Diese Woche gab es nur ein kleines Päckchen von Amazon, und Robert hat sich ein Buch in einem Café mitgenommen, im Rahmen der Aktion "Ein Buch ist nicht genug". Genau meine Meinung, und daher gibt's in unseren Bücherregalen Bücher zu jedem Thema. Diese Woche gab es aber nur neue Bücher zum Thema "Fantasy"!

Der Zorn der Löwen

Sub-Abbau im August

Heute habe ich mich für ein Buch entschieden, das ich am 22. August 2009 gekauft habe - als vor fast 5 Jahren. Das Buch hat sich verdient, endlich gelesen zu werden und die 60 Seiten, die ich bisher gelesen habe, haben mich auch gleich so richtig begeistert. Das Buch spielt in Kenia und es gibt (oder gab) die in diesem Roman beschriebene mobile Bibliothek  auf Kamelen wirklich. Aber was ich so liebe, ist die Liebe zum Lesen, zu Büchern. Die Freude der Dorfbewohner, wenn die Karawane mit neuen Büchern kommt, und was Bücher, was Literatur aus den Menschen hervorzaubern kann. Genau mein Thema - da kann ich echt ins Schwärmen kommen.... hoffentlich bleibt das Buch so schön!

Heimisches Waldviertel

Gestern Vormittag habe ich die letzten Seiten meines Updike-Romans ausgelesen. Ein ganz typischer Updike, der mir auch wieder bestens gefallen hat. Ich habe noch ein paar seiner Bücher auf Deutsch hier, die ich jetzt nach und nach lesen möchte. Seine restlichen Bücher möchte ich mir dann so nach und nach kaufen...

 

Da ich am Nachmittag verabsäumt hat, mich nach einem Buch für mein Projekt umzuschauen, musste ich Abends dann schnell eines suchen. Ich wusste, welches ich lesen wollte - aber in welchem Karton? Ich hab's aber gefunden ;-) und auch schon zur Hälfe ausgelesen. Es gefällt mir sehr, aber mir ist lieber, wenn Edith Kneifl ihre Bücher alleine schreibt. Man merkt zwar nicht wirklich, das es von zwei Autoren geschrieben wurde, und deshalb frage ich mich immer, was ist von Kneifl, was von Gergely? Es liest sich aber sehr flüssig und macht auch großen Spaß, da man die Gegend ja kennt, denn auch die Wachau spielt in diesem Buch eine Rolle.

Am Dienstag hat mir der Briefträger glücklicherweise wieder ein Buch in das Postkasterl gelegt, eine Restlieferung von Amazon. Außerdem wollte Robert eine bestimmte CD, die es nur bei Jokers gab, und wegen der Versandkosten musste ich ein Buch mit bestellen, es sind dann aber zwei Bücher geworden.
